Mo Diallo
Chief Executive Officer & Coach
Coach Mo is one of the founders of Canyon Academy FC. Canyon Academy FC is built on experience, excellence, and a winning mentality. Co-Founded by Moriba “Coach Mo” Diallo, the academy reflects a journey rooted in high-level competition and championship success. As a player at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), Coach Mo was part of NCAA Tournament runs to the Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen. He also competed within the Chicago Fire system at the U20 and U23 levels, winning a national championship, and continued his success with RWB Adria, contributing to multiple national title-winning teams.
Beyond his playing career, Coach Mo has developed his coaching foundation within the Chicago Fire Juniors youth system and Chicago United FC, working closely with youth players in competitive environments. His coaching focuses on technical development, game intelligence, and building confident, disciplined athletes prepared for the next level.
At Canyon Academy FC, the mission is to develop complete players, technically sharp, mentally tough, and tactically intelligent. Every session is built on discipline, accountability, and real development, with a focus on long-term growth. The standard is simple: work hard, compete, and improve, because talent gets noticed, but winning earns respect.
Robert Younger
Chief Operating Officer & Coach
Robert Younger serves as the Chief Operating Officer and a lead coach at Canyon Academy FC, bringing a professional playing background and international development experience to the club.
He began his career in England with Hull City FC, developing through the academy system from ages 10 to 16. He went on to represent England Schoolboys U18 before signing professionally with Lincoln City FC in 2006.
In 2007, he moved to the United States on a full soccer scholarship at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where he competed at the NCAA Division I level reaching the Elite 8 and sweet 16 in consecutive seasons. During his collegiate career, he was also part of the Chicago Fire organization as captain for both the U20 squad where he led the team to the national championship and Chicago Fire PDL team, gaining valuable experience in a professional development environment.
At Canyon Academy FC, he leads club operations and strategic growth while also working directly with players on the field. His coaching philosophy blends the structure and discipline of European academies with a modern, player-centered approach, emphasizing technical development, tactical awareness, and long-term success.
